Description

The sixth book in the internationally bestselling Eagle Elite Series.
*Interconnected Stand Alone*

Twenty-Four hours before we were to be married--I offered to shoot her.
Ten hours before our wedding--I made a mockery of her dying wish.
Five hours before we were going to say our vows--I promised I'd never love her.
One hour before I said I do--I vowed I'd never shed a tear over her death.
But the minute we were pronounced man and wife--I knew.
I'd only use my gun to protect her.
I'd give my life for hers.
I'd cry.
And I would, most definatly, lose myself, to a dying girl---a girl who by all accounts should have never been mine in the first place.
I always believed the mafia would be my end game--poisoning my heart, while it claimed my soul. I could have never imagined. It would be my redemption.
Or the beginning of something beautiful.
The beginning of her.
The end of us.

Just finished reading and my eyes are puffy and red and my shirt soaked from excess tears I couldnt catch quick enough! I’ve read this series in the order suggested by the author and I swear her writing gets better and better with each book. This one hit me straight to the core. One of my least favorite characters going into it, but Sergio came out a fan fav for sure. Wasn’t expecting this book to become my favorite thus far. I’m going back to read excerpts of it again. But first, nees to grab more tissues.... Bravo Rachel Van Dyken, Bravo!

RACHEAL VAN DYKEN! You have brought me to laugh, to love, to suspension and most importantly tears. Although I am an endurance reader, I fell in love with this book. It was my first of the series and I fell hard, for every character. The way they were detailed to the way that they were expressed. Your writing is phenomenal (although I'm pretty sure you knew that already). And you were one of the very few to make me cry. I felt like I was there on that sunrise watching him hold her and say their goodbyes. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry again. Overall one of the best books I've read in a while.

I downloaded this book simply because it was free and I was looking for a new series to get into. I had no idea I would become so obsessed. After I finished this one I went to the beginning and read the entire series. And then read this one again. The characters and story lines are incredible and make you want to be a part of the family. Each book is heart warming and gut wrenching but always has a great ending. Warning: you will go to bed late and wake up early just to keep reading! And forget about work deadlines... You just won't care because you have to keep turning the page.

This book was everything I wanted and more. I couldn’t stop reading from the minute I picked it up, I laughed with them and cried even more with them. This story is so beautiful, you cant help but fall in love with Sergio and even though you know the end is coming you can’t help but feel his pain when it finally happens. This book leaves you wanting more and wanting a happy ever after for him. Can it be May 31st already because I’m dying for the next one.

I love a book that makes me laugh and cry. This one did both-at times I was sobbing along with the characters. Loved it.

This book is one of my new favorites. I laughed at all the ridiculous jokes and things Andi did and cried my eyes out at the end. It definitely makes you appreciate what you have in life.

Elude has all the amazing character chemistry that I've come to expect from RVD's Eagle Elite Series. The members do kill, and sometimes bad things happen, but they are all true family. They argue, pick at each other and support one another. Often they have troubled pasts or some block they have to overcome to move forward. Sergio is a perfect example of this. In the previous book of this series, we found out that he was a double agent between the FBI and Mafia. He did so to save members of the family, but still it goes against everything. Now, he has direct orders to marry and protect a girl wanted by the Russia mob. Also she's terminally ill. So yeah, it's quite the explosive and emotional storyline. I worried over the direction the five families were headed. I laughed at the digs the guys and their women got in on each other. I teared up during the emotional times (be ready for tears). And of course I was, as always, surprised by Luca's mastermind black folders he left behind. I love this series, and I can't wait to find out what the crew is up to next!
