Great overview of accounting for a small business but probably not the book for you if you're really wanting to dive into the ins and outs of accounting for your small business. As a blog owner I did however learn a lot about accounting and how it helps me to have a background in it managing my business.

This review is from: Accounting for Small Business Owners (Kindle Edition) I'm a small business owner, and I have been looking for a book on accounting specifically for small business owners. Once I started reading the book I couldn't put it down. It contained so much helpful information. I didn't know where to start when it came to accounting I was at the point I was going to go out and hire and accountant. Now that I have this book that is money I can save and put towards my savings and business. I had taken business and accounting courses in college I guess I just needed this book as a refresher. I highly recommend for all business owners. I was sent this book in exchange for my opinion.

When you run a business one of the hardest things to get the hang of is accounting. Most small businesses fail not because they don't have great products or offer a wonderful service it's because they don't understand accounting. Yes you could hire a professional accountant but that costs money and new businesses are usually on a very tight budget. An Accounting for Small Business Owners is a great book to get your feet wet in accounting and start your business on the right track. This is a good Ebook for anyone looking for help with accounting for a small business. I like how it's visual by showing chart examples. The Ebook was very informative, and also a good read. It wasn't a "boring" read either like most Ebooks like this one. I would recommend this book if you need help with accounting. I received this Ebook complementary in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinons are 100% my own.
  • Good for Small Businesses but Has Issues

    By SoutheastByMidwest
Accounting for Small Business Owners is a big help for those running a small business or are considering opening a small business and are afraid of managing their own finances. However, the book has a problem with switching between very technical jargon and basic layman's terms at will which causes the flow to be slightly off. If you can get past this, it is definitely worth checking out.

I am a new small business owner with my own makeup business. If you are just starting out your own business this is a great resource! It covers all types of businesses from services to those that sell goods, and from very small sole proprietorships to much bigger businesses. The best part of this book, in my opinion, were the graphs. I am visual learner so this really helped me understand! Ebook provided in exchange for my honest review .

  • the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I did not care for the way the book was written. It was elementary at some points but then very technical.  It wasn't a bad book but if you were scanning the first few pages and decided to buy from that then you'll be disappointed.  I suggest getting a notebook and following the book carefully. You'll need to remember some key terms.  Which the book explains very well. Again, the book is not bad but may require more attention to detail then you may think.
