Teresa's Gift is 4,500 words in length and a sci-fi with mainstream appeal.
A meteorite named Teresa breaks our atmosphere. Instead of crashing into a city, it dissipates small golden particles that bloom into seeds and land. They appear innocuous, just settling where they fall, until Randy Johnson steps from his dusty Texas trailer and one of them speak to him.
A number of people are ingesting the seeds. The result is death. Randy's seed promises him the alcohol Randy has consumed daily for years will allow him to digest the seed and gain super-human abilities.
Randy must reflect on his life, on the logic coming from the seed, and decide if risking his life is worth Teresa's Gift: intellectual transcendence and global harmony.
